Metransfer – Legal Terms

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating a Metransfer account or using any part of the Metransfer service ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Metransfer allows users to upload, store and share files for limited periods of time. You remain the owner of your files but grant Metransfer a limited, revocable licence to store, transmit and display them solely to operate the Service.

3. Accounts & Authentication

All users must sign in using a Metransfer account (supported providers include Google, Microsoft Office 365 and others). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and all activity under it. Do not share access credentials or reuse compromised accounts.

Metransfer is not intended for users under the age of 16. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at support@metransfer.nl.

4. File Retention & Download Limits

When the retention period or download limit is reached, transfers are automatically deleted and cannot be recovered.

5. Prohibited Use

You may not upload, share or distribute files that:

• infringe copyrights, trademarks or other rights;
• contain illegal, harmful, obscene or offensive material;
• are intended for public redistribution (e.g. movies, pirated software, copyrighted music);
• violate any applicable laws or regulations.

6. Service Updates & Modifications

Metransfer may update, modify or temporarily suspend the Service to improve performance or security. Such updates do not constitute a breach of these Terms. Users will be informed of major changes where possible.

7. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, interface designs, software code and other intellectual property of Metransfer remain the property of Depositado B.V. and its affiliates. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the Service.

8. Data Protection

Metransfer processes limited personal data (such as account information and technical metadata) to provide the Service. Details on data collection and use are available in our Privacy Policy. For Business customers, a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) can be provided upon request.

9. Liability & Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Metransfer is not liable for data loss, interruptions, loss of profits, or other indirect damages. Use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. Metransfer may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law. Upon termination, all associated files are deleted within 30 days.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes shall be resolved before the competent court in Arnhem, The Netherlands.
